Hello! I’m Rupam, an M.Tech student specialising in Medical Imaging & Informatics at the School of Medical Science & Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I am advised by Prof. Nirmalya Ghosh from the Department of Electrical Engineering. My research lies at the intersection of Medical Imaging and Machine Learning, focusing on Lung Nodule Analysis from Screening CT Scans (LDCT). I am also working with Prof. Subhamoy Mandal from SMST and Dr. Shirin Dasgupta (Pathologist) on Oral Pathological Image Analysis for early OPMD detection.

- M.Tech Thesis — Deep Learning for Lung Nodule Analysis & Malignancy Risk Estimation (IIT Kharagpur): Preprocessed LDCT volumes (.mha/.nii) and trained 3D CNNs (ResNet, I3D, nnU-Net) for multi-modal malignancy prediction.
- Medical Imaging Lab Capstone — Pap Smear Cytology Classification & Segmentation: Hybrid pipeline combining classical methods and DL models for cervical cell segmentation and classification.
- Image Processing Lab Capstone — Brain Tumor Segmentation: Implemented anisotropic diffusion, tophat filtering, and U-Net for MRI segmentation with high Dice and AUC.
- B.Tech Thesis — Pancreatic Cancer Prediction from Imaging & Biomarkers (KGEC): Developed CNNs on CT and ML models on urinary biomarkers, surpassing previous SOTA accuracy by 0.7%.
